Ireland made up for their first loss by defeating Scotland by six wickets on Wednesday at Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Curtis Campher struck hard, and despite Scotland's stellar batsmanship and bowling, they were unable to cross the finish line.
Scotland scored 176 runs in the first innings by batting first. Michael Jones played a superb inning, scoring 86 runs in 55 balls, 6 of which were fours and 4 of them were sixes. He batted first and continued to do so until the 19th over of the innings.

M Cross (28 off 21) and Berrington (37 off 27) also contributed significantly and supported Jones in a significant way. Curtis Campher took two crucial wickets for M Cross and Berrington in his two runs for Ireland. In addition, Joshua Little and Mark Adair each selected one, but neither was particularly effective.

Ireland got off to a bad start when trying to reach the goal. Both Paul Sterling (8 off 10) and Andrew Balbirnie (14 off 12) got off to slow starts with the bat. Both of them were back in the hut after the first five overs, failing once more to get the team off to a strong start.
Harry Tector (14 of 16) and Lorcan Tucker (20 of 17) attempted to stabilize the situation, but they both left at a crucial point in the game. Before the first ten overs, Ireland had lost four wickets for just 61 runs.
However, Curtis Campher and George Dockrell joined forces later, and the two put on a show of powerful hitting. After Watt was run out for 18 runs in the 13th over, the turnaround began.
After that, the pair didn't slow down and continued to chase the score down in just 19 overs. George Dockrell scored 39 runs in 27 balls, while Campher scored 72 runs in 32 balls.
